Special tapes are used for second-surface or reverse-side printing where the top side is either left blank or printed with a clear UV coat. The top surface may be either smooth or lightly textured. Masking is then adhered to the top surface to protect this face during processing. Multiple passes of screening take place on the back or reverse face.
